Festival Opening
Anna Györgyi, actress
For the first time in the history of the Festival, an actress, Anna Györgyi, will open Budapest Pride. The award-winning actress can currently be seen in several plays, has acted in countless films, and all of us know her unmistakeable voice. For the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Pride she will give a speech on the stage of the Művész cinema.

“Gergye's E. SCH EROTO (2001) solo subtly turns upside down both the nearly cultish adoration of Schiele and the established experiences of Javanese dance and culture, alive with coded allusions in an almost irresponsibly candid, self-reflexive performance.” (Csaba Králl, Revizor)

Music: Franz Schubert, John Cage, Alfred Schnittke
Prize: Best Dance Prize - VIII. Alternative Theater Review, Budapest, 2002

Presenter
Sisso Artner
“The fastest drifting sands” - Sisso called the first Pride March in 1997. Since then we’ve grown larger, and we can now welcome the Magyar Narancs journalist as the presenter for the opening of the now 15 year old Budapest Pride. Through her activity in public life, Sisso has done much for us, for LGBT people.
The Public Life Awards of the Háttér Society for Gays will also be presented at the opening celebration of the 15th Budapest Pride.
